K9 Kleio and her Handler Deputy Beltz

 

 

 

We would like to tell you a little background about 2023's representative of Fox + Hound Kennel Cleaner... K9 Kleio from the Steven’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Miss Kleio's handler is Deputy Chris Beltz. K9 Kleio and Deputy Beltz became certified as a team in January 2013 and been going strong ever since.

Kleio, a ten-year-old Belgian Malinois, was purchased by the sheriff's office from Little Rock K9 Academy in January 2013. they are certified in narcotic detection and tracking.

K9 Kleio, aka "Hell Bitch", aka Miss Kleio, lives up to both names. Hot Pink is Miss Kleio's signature color. When you look at her, you see everything girly girl, but when it is time to work, watch this little lady turn from beauty to beast mode and somebody will definitely be getting a tooth hug.

Deputy Beltz has been a Deputy since September 1999. He started working with his first K9 in March 2000 and Kleio is his third K9 partner. He is a Veteran, a member of the Kansas Police Dog Association, a Certifying Official and Problem Solver for Kansas Police Dog Association since 2011. He is the current President of the Association and is continually giving back to his community.
